Chase Milly is quickly beginning the New Year with a song that highlights what the Toronto-based emcee is capable of. Off the success of his single “It’s On” and the accompanying remix, Chase comes back to start off 2012 with his track “Money Girl” featuring Captain Hooks and JD Era.

Milly goes back to the same formula that made “It’s On” an unforgettable track, crafting a song that will get the people moving in the club and calling local radio stations. The drum-laced beat is a perfect fit for the purpose of the song, but also elevates the performances of Chase and his two guests.

Captain Hooks provides the smooth hook in his silky auto-tuned voice, proclaiming to his girl to go get her money. The “Happy Times” singer infuses his electro sound to the track seamlessly to create a hook that will surely have people singing along.

JD Era lends his talent to the track and once again shows his ability on wax. Highlighting the guest verse is the point where Era spits “got a Spanish girl to speak French/French girl to speak Spanish/I don’t understand either but I f*** her then she make sandwich.” It’s obvious that his recent signing to IceH2O records has only made him hungrier.

Not to be outdone, Milly steps up in the booth and lays down his own hot verse. One thing that has always been clear with Chase is his confidence on the microphone and he doesn’t stop here. Talking about his lady, saying “she my Bonnie I’m her Clyde/riding through the sky/middle fingers in the air screaming f*** them other guys,” it’s easy to see that the emcee isn’t backing down.

Once again, Chase Mill has brought together the right ingredients to create a recipe for success. Strong guest spots from both Captain Hooks and JD Era only add the cherry to the top for this track. Be on the lookout for Chase Milly in 2012, because after a hot start like this, there will definitely be more to come. Enjoy the 2012 anthem.
